Bayan News – A group of educators from the province of Badakhshan recently organized a three-day book exhibition with the slogan “Let’s Read Books” in the city of Fayzabad, the center of this province.
Ahmad Nabiel Qazi Zadeh, one of the organizers of this exhibition, told reporters that the goal of launching the book exhibition is to promote a culture of reading among young people.
Nabiel further added that various types of books in different fields have been showcased in this exhibition, and the residents of Badakhshan have also welcomed it.
Visitors to the book exhibition in the city of Fayzabad have requested that the Taliban open schools and universities for girls.
During the recent developments of the past two years, economic problems and despair about the future have caused a decline in the trend of reading in Afghanistan.
Simultaneously, the Taliban has imposed restrictions on printing houses and bookstores in Afghanistan and has not allowed the publication of certain books.
