The United Nations Secretary-General stated in a message on Friday (April 19): “It is time for the dangerous cycle of revenge in the Middle East to be stopped.”
Referring to the conflict between Iran and Israel, he reminded in his message that any retaliatory action is condemned by the United Nations.
Guterres urged regional and global powers to cooperate to prevent any further tensions that could lead to devastating consequences in the region.
