The Taliban says it has taken special measures to ensure the security of Muharram ceremonies

Bayan News – The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior announced on Monday (July 8) that this Ministry has taken special security measures to ensure the safety of the Muharram days.

This Ministry, through a message published on the X platform, has asked the people to cooperate with the Taliban’s security forces for better security.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has published images of its security forces showing that they have been deployed in different areas of western Kabul.

Yesterday was the first day of Muharram around the world and especially in Afghanistan, and Shias commemorated this day.

The Afghan Shia Ulema Council has also asked the Ashura mourners to cooperate with the Taliban’s security forces and to report any suspicious incidents.
