The United States and the United Nations have strongly condemned Russia’s deadly missile attack on Ukraine
Bayan News – The United Nations, the United States, and the leaders of Western countries have strongly condemned Russia’s deadly missile attack on civilian areas in Ukraine.
In the Russian missile attack on several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, which took place on Monday (July 8), at least 50 civilians were killed. These attacks targeted civilian areas, including a hospital.
U.S. President Joe Biden called this attack a Russian “brutality” and called on Moscow to refrain from such attacks.
Mr. Biden said in a statement that Washington, along with its allies, will unveil new measures to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
Simultaneously, a United Nations spokesman said that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres found the Russian missile attacks “appalling” and strongly condemned them.
This UN spokesperson said that the Security Council is expected to hold a meeting on Tuesday at the request of Britain, France, Ecuador, Slovenia, and the United States.
Simultaneously, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned the “attack on innocent children” as “one of the most despicable acts.”
