Signature of the export contract of Afghan cotton yarn between the Taliban and a Chinese company

Bayan News – The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban signed the contract for the export of “Afghan cotton yarn” with a Chinese company on Thursday (July 11).

This contract was signed in the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar’s brother, the economic deputy of the Taliban, between the company “Pakh Afghan White Gold” and the company “Shanghai Kouban Textile.”

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban added in a newsletter that according to this contract, 10,000 tons of Afghan cotton yarn, worth $25 million, will be exported to China.

After coming to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban have expanded their economic and political relations with China.

Over the past two years, the Taliban have awarded several contracts for the extraction of Afghanistan’s minerals to Chinese companies.
