According to the report, which was published on Wednesday (July 17), Biden canceled his speech in Las Vegas, Nevada due to his COVID-19 infection.
The White House also stated in a statement that Biden has been quarantined at his residence and will perform his duties from there.
Biden also told reporters in a brief interview that he is feeling well.
Biden’s contraction of COVID-19 comes at a time when there is increasing pressure from Democrats for him to withdraw from the electoral race.
Some representatives, donors, and members of the US Democratic Party have called for the nomination of another candidate to compete against Trump.
