A US House of Representatives member: The withdrawal from Afghanistan was disgraceful
Bayan News – Coinciding with the third anniversary of the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, a member of the US House of Representatives has stated that the United States’ withdrawal was disgraceful and a stain on Washington’s conscience.
Michael Waltz has recently added that if Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, is victorious, they will release all the evidence related to the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and the deaths of 13 soldiers during the withdrawal.
This member of the US House of Representatives said: “We all remember that Biden’s shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan, that tragedy, that stain on our national conscience, and those 13 families of soldiers who lost their lives, have to live with that tragedy every day.”
He added that US President Joe Biden did not even speak on the phone with those families.
According to Waltz, the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan was “a success” for Biden.
US officials had previously criticized the hasty withdrawal of US forces by the Biden administration.
