U.S. Secretary of State: The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel is nearing realization

Bayan News – U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says that the ceasefire agreement between the Hamas group and Israel, which has taken a long time, is on the verge of being realized.

The U.S. Secretary of State made these remarks on Friday (July 19) at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, and in relation to the efforts made to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, he said that the negotiating teams have come close to the final goal.

He said that some problems still need to be negotiated and resolved, and that we are now on the path to advancing such efforts.

It is worth noting that previously, U.S. President Joe Biden had revealed the details of Israel’s proposal for a ceasefire agreement with Hamas, and since then, indirect negotiations between the two sides, mediated by Egypt and Qatar and supervised by the United States, have been taking place.
