Iran Executes Two Afghan Nationals on Drug Charges
Bayan News – Iranian media reported on Thursday (July 25) that two Afghan nationals were executed in the “Qaen” prison in Iran on charges related to drug trafficking.
According to the Iranian media reports, these individuals were executed in secret and without the knowledge of their families.
One of the executed individuals was named Matiullah Barkazi, who had been arrested in Iran about five years ago on drug trafficking charges.
According to sources, Matiullah Barkazi was a native of Farah province.
This is the second Afghan prisoner who has been executed in Iran within the past 48 hours.
Another resident of the same province, named Gulab Shah, was executed on Thursday morning in the Bandar Abbas prison in Iran.
It is notable that in the previous month, a resident of Farah province had also been executed in the Semnan prison in Iran on drug-related charges.
