The Israeli Army Says It Killed the Commander of Hamas’ Military Wing

Bayan News – On Thursday (1 August), the Israeli army announced that it had killed Muhammad Deif, the commander of Hamas’ military wing, in Gaza about a month ago.

In the Israeli army’s air strike on the Gaza refugee camp in Khan Yunis on 13 July, at least 100 Palestinian civilians were killed, and a month after this attack, Israel has claimed that the commander of Hamas’ military wing was among those killed.

Israel has not provided further details about its claim of Muhammad Deif’s death.

Hamas has not yet responded to this claim by Israel. Major global media outlets have also not been able to verify Israel’s claim so far.

It is said that Muhammad Deif’s real name is Muhammad Diab al-Masri. He was at the top of Israel’s wanted list and had survived several assassination attempts.

Muhammad Deif is known as a key figure in Hamas in the construction of rockets and underground tunnels in Gaza.
