Explosion in Kabul’s Busiest Area; 11 Injured Transferred to Hospital

Bayan News – On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 23, a relatively powerful explosion occurred in the “Cinemapamir” area, one of the busiest locations in Kabul.

Kabul’s Emergency Hospital confirmed the incident and added that the explosion took place in a street clothing market.

Stefano Gennaro Smirnov, an official at the hospital, reported that 11 injured people were transferred to the hospital, with one of them in critical condition.

A statement from the Emergency Hospital in Kabul mentioned that women and children were among the injured.

According to one of the hospital officials, the injured include a 3-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, two women, and six men.

This hospital official also stated that many of those affected by the attack are living in extreme poverty.

Earlier this afternoon, several citizens reported an explosion in the Cinemapamir area, but details were initially unclear.

So far, Taliban security officials in Kabul have not commented on the explosion.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the explosion as of yet.
