Export of the First Shipment of Kandahar Pomegranates to Kazakhstan

Bayan News – The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the interim government has announced that, for the first time, 23 tons of Kandahar pomegranates have been exported to Kazakhstan.

In a statement released on Monday, October 28, the ministry noted that the shipment arrived in Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan, via the Torghundi port. According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Afghan traders facilitated this export.

Previously, Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, had visited Kazakhstan with a delegation and signed several trade agreements between the two countries.

Kazakhstan removed the Taliban from its list of terrorist groups as part of efforts to promote economic relations between Afghanistan and Almaty.
