Medical Exams to Be Held Without the Presence of Female Candidates
Bayan News – The Interim Government’s National Examination Authority has announced that the “Exit Exam” for graduates of medical fields will be conducted without the participation of women and girls.
The authority stated on Monday (December 16) that this exam will take place in Kabul within the next two weeks.
Erfanullah Ebad, the spokesperson for the National Examination Authority, said in a statement that the exam will be held exclusively for male candidates, as requested by the Ministry of Higher Education.
He expressed hope that exams in dental medicine for women would also be conducted in the near future.
The Exit Exam is a qualifying examination that allows medical graduates to obtain licenses to practice medicine.
Ebad did not provide further details but mentioned that the exact schedule of the exam will be announced later.
This comes after the interim government recently banned women and girls from pursuing education in all medical institutes and institutions.
