Karzai’s Strong Reaction: Pakistan’s Attacks Are a Clear Violation of Afghanistan’s Sovereignty

Bayan News – Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, has labeled the Pakistani military’s airstrikes in Paktika and Khost provinces as a clear violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.

On Wednesday (December 25), Karzai posted a message on Platform X, stating that tensions in the relations between the two countries are the result of Pakistan’s misguided policies, which aim to strengthen extremism in the region and continually weaken Afghanistan.

The former president emphasized that resolving these tensions requires an immediate and serious review of Pakistan’s policies. He underscored that fostering cordial relations based on good neighborliness and mutual respect would be in the best interests of both nations.

The Pakistani military’s airstrikes, conducted last night in the Bermal district of Paktika province and the Spera district of Khost province, have drawn sharp reactions from the Taliban and Afghan political figures.

The Ministry of Defense of the interim government has warned that Pakistan’s unilateral actions will not go unanswered.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Pakistani government targeted hideouts of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Paktika and Khost. However, the interim government claims that refugees from North Waziristan were attacked during these strikes.
