Local officials in Jawzjan province in northern Afghanistan say the body of a 13-year-old girl from the city of Sheberghan in this province has been found.
Abdulstaar Halimi, the spokesman for the security command of Jawzjan province, said that the body of the girl named Marjaneh was found in the center of the province today, Tuesday (July 10th).
According to the spokesman for the security command of Jawzjan, the girl had gone missing two days ago.
As stated by Halimi, there were signs of beating on her body, and she was probably suffocated and then killed.
However, the motive for the murder of this girl has not yet been determined, and two members of her family have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Investigations into the murder of Marjaneh are still ongoing.
It should be noted that in the past two years, several similar murders have occurred in northern provinces of Afghanistan, including Balkh, Faryab, and Jawzjan.
