Global Partnership Allocates $110 Million to Support Children’s Education in Afghanistan

Bayan News – The Global Partnership for Education has announced the allocation of $110 million to support children in Afghanistan.
Laura Frigenti, CEO of the Global Partnership for Education, stated in a released statement on Saturday (December 16) that this assistance will support Afghan boys and girls in acquiring essential skills through educational processes over the next two years.
According to her, it is expected that over seven million children throughout Afghanistan will benefit from these educational programs in the next two years.
The organization stated in its statement that the budget will be utilized through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Children’s Protection Agency to support the education of Afghan children.
The organization continues to emphasize that global collaboration for education is a shared commitment to ending the learning crisis worldwide.
This assistance comes at a time when millions of Afghan children have been deprived of education due to the lack of resources in recent years.
Furthermore, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has imposed restrictions on girls’ education beyond the sixth grade since its takeover in Afghanistan.
