Breaking News: Pakistan Bars Iranian Ambassador, Present in Islamabad, from Leaving
Bayan News – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has announced that it has summoned its ambassador from Iran and, at the same time, has barred the Iranian ambassador, who is present in Islamabad, from leaving the country.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared this afternoon, Thursday (17th January), that all high-level meetings with Iranian officials are suspended.
These actions by the Pakistani government are in response to the missile attacks by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on the bases of the Justice Army group in Pakistani territory.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan had also summoned the Iranian ambassador in Islamabad.
Islamabad considers the attack on Pakistani soil as a violation of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity and has warned Iran that it will have serious consequences.
