Bayan news – Amid escalating tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy of the Taliban government, has stated that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has no place in Afghanistan.
The Taliban’s political deputy made these remarks during a meeting with Paul Coleman Baker, the Norwegian Charge d’Affaires for Afghanistan.
According to the report, the meeting took place on Friday, January 25th.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir further added that the Taliban, including the United States and European countries, seeks relations based on mutual respect with all countries, especially neighboring nations.
The senior Taliban official emphasized that overall security has been ensured in Afghanistan, and no one is allowed to use Afghan soil against anyone.
He explicitly stated that the TTP has no place in Afghanistan and also mentioned that ISIS has been suppressed as a threat to humanity.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir urged Norway and other European countries to reopen their embassies in Kabul and continue their activities.
Education for Girls in Afghanistan
During the meeting with the senior Taliban official, Norwegian Charge d’Affaires Paul Coleman Baker called for the education of girls and the creation of opportunities for women in Afghanistan.
The diplomat stated that despite the ongoing crisis, the world has not forgotten Afghanistan, and in this regard, an international conference will be held in Doha.
However, the Taliban’s political deputy, referring to girls’ education, added that the current Afghan system is not against the education of women and girls. In this regard, a special committee is working to provide educational opportunities for girls.
Yesterday, January 24th, was World Education Day, and international organizations, including UNAMA, expressed concern about the continued ban on education and emphasized that this challenge isolates Afghanistan.
With the Taliban taking control in Afghanistan, girls above the sixth grade have been prohibited from education.
