Mtiullah Wesa, education activist arrested by government
Bayan News
Mutiullah Wesa, a training activist and head of Rah-e Qalam, has reportedly been arrested by acting government forces from Kabul city.
Government officials have not commented on Mr. Wesa’s detention.
After imposing restrictions on education for women and girls, Mr. Wesa expanded his educational activities in a mobile manner in Afghanistan’s southern provinces.
After 2009, Wesa also worked in girls’ education in southern Afghanistan, and she encouraged families to include their children to schools and universities.
Meanwhile, the acting government forces recently arrested a university lecturer who objected to the current regime’s education policies and released them after a few days.
