Moscow begins military exercise with nuclear weapons in Belarus

Russia’s Defense Ministry said Wednesday (March 29th) that it has begun its military exercise with nuclear weapons and with the participation of thousands of Russian troops in Belarus.

About 3,000 troops and 300 pieces of equipment are involved in the exercise, TRT reported, citing a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to published information, the Yars missile system included in the exercise is set to become the main pillar of Moscow’s nuclear arsenal in Belarus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is said to be trying to make Belarus a nuclear hub by deploying nuclear weapons.

Moscow’s nuclear weapons deployment in Belarus has provoked international reactions.

The United States, Britain, The Footsteps, including members of the Security Council have opposed and condemned Moscow’s move.
