Sudan’s civil war; Nearly 100 civilians were killed and another thousand were injured

Today, Monday (April 17), international media reported, quoting the Sudan Doctors Committee, that at least 97 civilians have been killed and hundreds of others have been injured since the beginning of the clashes between the Sudanese army and the “Rapid Support” forces.

Earlier, the World Health Organization announced that at least 83 people have been killed and more than 1,126 injured in Sudan since the start of the conflict.

The organization announced in a statement that the medical equipment it had distributed to the country’s medical centers before the recent escalation of tensions between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces has run out.

With the continuation of armed conflicts for several days in a row in Sudan, the Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors announced in an announcement that a rocket had fallen in the Bashar University Hospital, located in the south of Khartoum, and emphasized that this incident led to the terror of the patients and the medical staff working in this hospital. It has become a hospital.

However, the Sudanese Doctors’ Committee announced on Sunday that the number of dead in the clashes has reached 56 and the number of injured has reached 600.

On the other hand, the preparatory committee of Sudanese doctors asked humanitarian organizations and international and regional institutions to help and provide medical equipment to all hospitals and health centers in Khartoum and conflict areas in different regions of this country.

The committee also called on the international community, human rights and diplomatic organizations to pressure both sides of the armed conflict to stop fighting, provide safe passage for civilians, allow the safe passage of ambulances and medical personnel, and To maintain hospitals and centers and provide treatment facilities.
