Bayan news

The Supreme Council of Resistance to Save Afghanistan says that the solution to the crisis in this country is to start peace talks under the auspices of the United Nations and to form a comprehensive transitional mechanism and return sovereignty to the people through elections.

This council has issued a declaration on Saturday (April 29) on the eve of the Doha meeting and also in response to the approval of the recent resolution of the United Nations Security Council.

The declaration states that the members of this council welcome the recent resolution of the United Nations Security Council condemning the suppression of women and girls by the Taliban.

The Supreme Council of Resistance added in the announcement that the Doha Agreement, which was an unfavorable way to solve the political problem of Afghanistan, should now be abandoned and a new and acceptable road map should be chosen for all sides.

According to this council, the United Nations should start managing the Afghan peace negotiations process by appointing a competent delegation to support the legitimate demands of the people of this country.

Two days ago, the members of the United Nations Security Council issued a resolution, asking the authorities of the caretaker government of Kabul to immediately cancel the restrictions against women and girls.

In addition, in the next two days, a meeting hosted by the United Nations will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and in this meeting, Afghanistan’s human rights and political issues will be discussed.
