German Foreign Minister: Our Solidarity with the People of Afghanistan Has Not Wavered
Bayan News – Annalena Baerbock, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated in recent remarks that her country’s solidarity with the people of Afghanistan will continue to endure.
She made these statements during a meeting with Richard Bent, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan, and added, “Our solidarity with the people of Afghanistan has not wavered.”
In response, Mr. Bent wrote in a message on the X network that he welcomes the German government’s enduring support for the people of Afghanistan.
Bent further wrote that during this meeting, they discussed important issues such as human rights and the need to address human rights violations in Afghanistan.
Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had criticized the policies of the interim Kabul government and announced that if the Taliban authorities continue these policies, their government will not be recognized.
The government is considered one of the main supporters of the people of Afghanistan and has relocated several thousand vulnerable Afghans in the past two years.
Furthermore, a few months ago, the German government announced a plan to relocate one thousand Afghans monthly, but this program faced failure.
