US Dollar Decreases to 69 Afghanis

Bayan News – The price of the US dollar in Afghanistan’s currency exchange markets decreased to 69 Afghanis today, Friday (November 9th).

According to the announcement of the Money Changers Union in Kabul’s Shahzadah Exchange Market, which is the largest monetary transaction center in Afghanistan, one US dollar was exchanged at 69.90 Afghanis.

However, the Central Bank of Afghanistan had announced earlier today that one US dollar was sold at 71.432 Afghanis and bought at 71.232 Afghanis.

It is worth noting that the decrease in the exchange rate of the dollar against the Afghan currency is unprecedented following the Islamic Emirate’s takeover of Afghanistan.

Last year, the exchange rate of the dollar against the Afghan currency reached its highest level, to the point that one US dollar was exchanged at 100 Afghanis in the country’s markets.

The decrease in the price of the dollar against the Afghani has impacted commercial assets in the country’s markets and will increase people’s purchasing power.
