Israel-Hamas War; Escalation of Israeli Army Attacks on Northern Gaza

Bayan News – On the forty-fourth day of the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army today, Monday (November 19th), carried out intense attacks on various areas of the strip, especially in the north, accompanied by heavy gunfire.

Sources have told international media outlets that as a result of Israeli airstrikes targeting homes in the Yarmouk neighborhood, damage has been inflicted.

Sources have also reported that two Israeli soldiers were killed during today’s clashes.

Furthermore, the Palestinian News Agency reported the bombing of the Nusairat and Khan Younis camps by Israel, resulting in the death of 15 Palestinians.

These field developments took place following the bombing of two schools by Israel. One is the “Fakhoura” school, where scattered remains of over 200 people were left on both sides of the school’s corridors. The other is the “Tel Al-Zaatar” school, where Israeli attacks claimed the lives of 50 people. These two schools had accommodated hundreds of non-combatant refugees, yet the number of casualties from Israeli attacks in Gaza has risen to over 12,300 deaths.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed that due to the interruption of communication services and the complete destruction of services and communications in the northern hospitals of Gaza, it is facing significant difficulties in obtaining updated information for the seventh consecutive day.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health emphasized that out of 35 Gaza hospitals, 26 have completely ceased their operations due to the damages caused by Israeli bombings or fuel shortages. Out of 72 primary healthcare clinics, only 52, which is over two-thirds, have stopped their services. Nine remaining hospitals are partially operational, and out of the 24 hospitals capable of admitting patients in the north, only “Al-Muamalani Hospital” in Gaza is currently active despite the challenges.

Additionally, 18 hospitals have been evacuated and closed since the beginning of the Israeli attack on Gaza, including Al-Nasr, Al-Rantisi, and Al-Quds hospitals in the past three days.

However, simultaneous with the intensification of the war between the conflicting parties, several international media outlets have reported that Hamas and Israel are nearing an agreement for the release of hostages.
