Moscow hosting political opponents of Kabul; Mujahid: Regional countries should not create discord among Afghans

Bayan News – One day after the Moscow conference hosted by the Party of Justice of Russia, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the interim Kabul government, has reacted to this conference.

On Friday (November 24), he told Afghan media that the holding of this conference by regional and neighboring countries is seen as creating discord among Afghans.

Mujahid added, “Some countries want to revive burnt pieces and create discord. This is not a good move, and we have protested to Russia. They should not interfere in the affairs of other countries.”

The Moscow conference, titled “Afghanistan: Between the Past and the Future – Towards a Just World Order and Sustainable Development,” was hosted by Russia’s Justice Party yesterday (November 23).

Opposing political figures of the Islamic Emirate in Moscow

Several opposing figures of the Islamic Emirate’s political establishment, including Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front, Mohammad Mohaqiq, Shukria Barakzai, and Fawzia Koofi, participated in this conference.

After the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate’s rule in Afghanistan, relations between the current Kabul government and Russia have expanded.

The Russian government has transferred the diplomatic representation of Afghanistan in Moscow to the interim Kabul government, and the Russian embassy in Kabul remains active.
