Central Bank of Afghanistan Delegation Travels to Bahrain

Bayan News – The Central Bank of Afghanistan has announced that its governor, Hedayatullah Badri, along with a delegation, has traveled to Bahrain on Wednesday (28th November). According to the Central Bank’s newsletter, the delegation has traveled to participate in the annual meeting of the Islamic Financial Institutions’ Governance and Audit Conference, as well as the Islamic Development Bank Summit.

As stated in the Central Bank’s newsletter, the objectives of this trip include sharing the advancements in Islamic banking among member countries, promoting Islamic banking development, strengthening relationships between central banks, and utilizing the experiences of Islamic countries in this field.

The Central Bank further stated that representatives from central banks of member countries, representatives of Islamic financial institutions, and the Shari’a boards of Islamic banks will participate in this conference.

This marks the first visit of the Central Bank of Afghanistan delegation to Bahrain. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of visits by Islamic officials to regional countries.
