Kazakhstan Removes Taliban from the List of Prohibited Groups
Bayan News – Alim Khan Yasin Gildiyev, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Kabul, has announced the removal of the Taliban from the list of prohibited groups in his country.
This matter was raised on Friday (December 29) during a meeting between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Kabul and Amir Khan Mateqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a newsletter published on the X platform, stated that the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Kabul expressed his satisfaction with the positive relations between the two parties.
According to the newsletter, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Kabul emphasized that his country is seeking to expand political and economic relations with Afghanistan.
The newsletter also stated that Mr. Mateqi expressed his appreciation for the government of Kazakhstan’s decision to remove the Taliban from the list of prohibited groups.
Furthermore, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan confirmed this news and added that they regularly review the list of prohibited groups.
However, it has been over two years since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan, and they are still subject to sanctions by some countries.
