The sixth session of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Coordination Committee was held in Islamabad
Bayan News – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Kabul caretaker government, announced the holding of the sixth session of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Coordination Committee in Islamabad.
Mujahid stated on the X platform that this session took place on Thursday (January 3rd) and involved the participation of the Strategic Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the acting governor of Kandahar province.
The spokesperson for the Kabul caretaker government further added that during this session, decisions will be made regarding the resolution of disputes along the Durand Line between the two sides. “Following the previous meetings, decisions will be made in this session regarding the resolution of disputes that arise along the Durand Line between the two countries, and necessary facilities for the residents on both sides of the Durand Line will be discussed.”
However, Pakistani media had previously reported that a delegation from the Kabul caretaker government, led by Mullah Shirin Akhund, the governor of Kandahar, would travel to Islamabad to reduce tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The increase in TTP attacks against the Pakistani government has negatively affected the relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
