Afghanistan had over $166 million worth of exports in the past month

Bayan News – according to the National Statistics and Information Administration. The country exported to Pakistan, India, and the United Arab Emirates with a value of $166.5 million in the past month.

The agency added in a newsletter today, Tuesday (January 15), that in addition to the export figure, Afghanistan had imports worth $791 million in the past month.

The newsletter stated that the total value of imports in Afghanistan reached $735 million in the month of Qaws in 1401 Solar Hijri year, which represents an increase of $55.2 million compared to the previous year.

According to the National Statistics and Information Administration, the figures indicate that the highest exports in the current year were to Pakistan, India, and the United Arab Emirates, while in the previous year, the exports were mainly to Pakistan, India, and China.

However, the Taliban has made efforts in the past two years to increase domestic production in Afghanistan and prevent the importation of non-essential goods.
