World Food Programme: 10 Million People Deprived of Food Assistance in Afghanistan
Bayan News – Simultaneously with the reduction of humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, the World Food Programme states that 10 million people in Afghanistan have been deprived of receiving food assistance.
The World Food Programme wrote on its X platform today, Tuesday (January 29th), that these individuals are forced to choose between providing food or heating their families.
However, international organizations have expressed concerns about the reduction of humanitarian aid in 2024 for impoverished individuals in Afghanistan.
It was previously reported that over 20 million people in Afghanistan are in need of humanitarian assistance this year to prevent the intensification of the humanitarian crisis in the country.
