Oghlu tells Muttaqi: The aim of the Doha conference is sustainable global interaction with Afghanistan
Bayan News – Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban, met with Fereydoun Sinirlioğlu, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Afghanistan.
The meeting took place on Tuesday (February 5) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Mr. Muttaqi emphasized that the Taliban is interested in rapid interaction with the United Nations.
The acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban once again insisted on the position of the current government in Kabul, stating that there is no valid reason to appoint any additional representative for the country in the presence of UNAMA in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Afghanistan discussed the organization of the Doha conference during this meeting.
Sinirlioğlu added that the aim of the Doha conference is to achieve sustainable global interaction with Afghanistan, enabling greater political achievements.
The conference, hosting special representatives from countries for Afghanistan, will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, under the auspices of the United Nations within the next two weeks.
