Israel-Hamas War: Attack on Rafah City Means the End of Prisoner Exchange Talks

Bayan News – Simultaneously with the Israeli army’s preparations to attack the border city of Rafah, one of the senior leaders of Hamas has warned that if this attack is carried out, the talks regarding a prisoner exchange will be destroyed.

Palestinian media, without mentioning the name of this Hamas leader, reported on Monday (February 11) that according to him, the Israeli Prime Minister is trying to undermine the agreement for a prisoner exchange and the release of prisoners by committing a massacre and creating a new humanitarian disaster in Rafah.

On the other hand, the Israeli Defense Minister also added in his statements that the tighter the siege on Hamas becomes, the sooner the goal of the war will be achieved.

He stated that Israel has infiltrated the core of Hamas and is using Hamas’ intelligence apparatus against it.

Meanwhile, Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), emphasized that the agency cannot confirm or comment on Israel’s reports regarding the existence of tunnels beneath the main headquarters of the agency in Gaza.
