Taliban, citing Norwegian Ambassador: ISIS has been suppressed and has lost its power in Afghanistan
Bayan News – Taliban, citing Paul Klompenbikin, the Norwegian ambassador in Kabul, has stated that they have currently lost their previous strength due to the suppression of several groups, including ISIS.
The Norwegian ambassador met and held discussions with Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Taliban’s political deputy in Kabul on Thursday (March 27).
The Norwegian ambassador reiterated that his country does not support the Taliban’s opponents and, at the same time, Norway intends to work jointly with the European Union and the United Nations in dealing with the Taliban.
This Norwegian diplomat also expressed concerns about the second phase of the mass expulsion of Afghan refugees by the Pakistani government and expects positive changes in Kabul-Islamabad relations to prevent this challenge.
On the other hand, the Taliban’s political deputy added that some aspects of certain security events are attributed to the Taliban, which have no connection to Afghanistan whatsoever.
This Taliban political figure further stated that thousands of women are employed in government institutions and the private sector, and the voices of the people are heard at various levels of the government.
