Efforts underway to appoint a special representative for Afghanistan, says Stéphane Dujarric

Bayan News – Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, has stated that serious efforts are underway to appoint a special representative for Afghanistan.

During a press briefing on Monday, April 8th, the UN spokesperson mentioned that if there is progress in this regard, it will be communicated.

However, Dujarric did not provide further details on the matter.

Dujarric further emphasized that there is no specific timeline for the appointment of a UN special representative for Afghanistan.
