Taliban: Victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan have reached 70

Bayan News – The Taliban Ministry of Government Affairs for Disaster Management reports that the number of flood victims across Afghanistan has reached 70.

This Taliban department added in a newsletter on Thursday (April 17) that in addition to these fatalities, another 56 individuals have been injured as a result of the floods.

The Ministry of Government Affairs for Disaster Management of the Taliban stated in the newsletter that more than two thousand residential houses have also been destroyed.

However, this ministry had reported four days ago that 66 people had lost their lives due to the current floods across Afghanistan.

Janan Sayeq, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Government Affairs for Disaster Management of the Taliban, told Taliban National Radio and Television that as a result of recent rainfall and flooding in the last few days, close to 600 livestock have died in 23 provinces and 2,627 residential houses have been destroyed.
