Mullah Brother: Taliban has started large water projects in Afghanistan using their legitimate right

Bayan News – Mullah Abdul Ghani, the economic deputy of the Taliban government, says that in addition to prioritizing the agricultural sector, their government is also paying attention to water management.

The economic deputy of the Taliban spoke on Wednesday (May 1) at the 30th Spring Agricultural Products Fair in Kabul, and added that governments are working to hold fairs both inside and outside the country to promote and market their products, something that the current Kabul government has also started.

According to Mullah Brother, a country’s trade can grow through fairs, and investment opportunities can still be created in this field.

He stated that although Afghanistan has vast agricultural lands and abundant water for irrigation, the level of agricultural production is still low.

This senior Taliban official also emphasized that the current Kabul government is not only prioritizing the agricultural sector but also paying attention to water management, and in line with water management and utilizing their legitimate right, has started large water projects in Afghanistan.

According to Mullah Brother, the Taliban is working on important projects to strengthen the agricultural sector, which, once implemented, will boost Afghanistan’s economy and improve the people’s standard of living.

It is worth mentioning that the 30th Agricultural Products Fair of Afghanistan was held in Kabul to market agricultural and industrial products, strengthen the agricultural sector, and support domestic production.

In this fair, 263 booths featuring various agricultural products were showcased.
