At least 40 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Rafah
Bayan News – International media outlets, citing Palestinian health authorities, reported that in Israeli airstrikes on an area in the city of Rafah, at least 40 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others were injured.
The attack took place in the “Tel al-Sultan” area, and among the injured are women and children.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said that its field hospital in Rafah was overwhelmed with casualties, and many injured were taken to other hospitals.
Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior Hamas official, described the attack as a “massacre” and held the United States responsible for providing Israel with weapons and money.
One of the injured from the attack at the Kuwait Hospital in Rafah said: “The airstrikes burned the tents, the tents and the bodies of the people are melting.”
Reuters reported, citing the Israeli army, that the Israeli Air Force attacked a Hamas headquarters in Rafah, and this attack was carried out with “precise munitions and based on accurate information.”
According to Israel, the head of the Hamas staff in the West Bank and another senior official behind the deadly attacks on Israelis were killed in this attack.
