Bayan News – Local sources in Ghor province say that a girl in this province committed suicide due to a forced marriage.
According to the sources, this girl self-immolated after her family demanded that she marry a married man.
This incident occurred two days ago in the “Sang Atish” district.
However, the sources did not mention the age of this girl or her name, and local Taliban officials have also not provided information about this incident.
In the past two years, forced marriage, domestic violence, and economic problems have been the main factors behind suicides among girls and boys in Afghanistan.
