Chinese President: We will continue to play our role in resolving Afghanistan’s issues
Bayan News – Xi Jinping, the President of China, announced in his latest speech that Beijing will continue to play its role in resolving Afghanistan’s issues.
President Xi made these statements on Friday (June 28) at the 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in Beijing.
He explicitly stated that his country will not change its determination towards development and promoting peace.
Xi Jinping also expressed that Beijing will play a constructive role in resolving the crisis in Ukraine, the Israel-Palestine conflict, issues related to the Korean Peninsula, Iran, Myanmar, and Afghanistan.
While China does not officially recognize the Taliban government, its political and economic relations with the Taliban are expanding every day.
China was one of the key countries to hand over the Afghan Embassy to the Taliban, and at the same time, accepted the credentials of the ambassador of the Kabul caretaker government in a formal ceremony.
