Deportation of over 13,000 Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan in one week

Bayan News – The Taliban Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has reported that in the past week, 13,447 migrants have been deported from the countries of Iran and Pakistan.

The ministry stated in a press release on Saturday (June 29) that the deportees include women and children.

According to the Taliban Ministry of Refugees, the deportees returned to the country through the Torkham, Spin Boldak, Islam Qala, and Silk Road crossing points.

Some of the returnees have told reporters that despite having valid legal documents, the police in Iran and Pakistan have imprisoned and deported them.

This comes as Iran and Pakistan have intensified the deportation of undocumented migrants in recent months.
