Taliban Central Bank Governor Travels to Djibouti

Bayan News – The Taliban Central Bank announced the travel of Haidar Ullah Badri, the Governor of this bank, to Djibouti to attend the 22nd Annual Meeting of the “Islamic Financial Services Board”.

The bank said in a statement on Saturday (June 29) that this meeting will be held on July 1st and 2nd.

According to the statement of this bank, the organizer of this meeting is the “Islamic Financial Services Board” and the Central Bank of Djibouti.

The Taliban Central Bank said that in this meeting, the member countries of the Board will present their performance reports of the previous year, and discussions will be held on Islamic banking-related standards, good corporate governance of financial institutions and banks, the impact of digitalization on Islamic banking, and the promotion of Islamic banking at the international level.

According to the information of the Taliban Central Bank, the “Islamic Financial Services Board” is active in the field of Islamic financial services, and the Central Bank of Afghanistan and a number of Islamic countries are members of it.
