Suicide Attacks in Nigeria Leave Dozens Dead and Injured
Bayan News – International media outlets have reported that several suicide attacks in northeastern Nigeria have left 18 dead and at least 50 injured.
According to published reports, on Saturday afternoon (June 29th), there were multiple suicide attacks during a wedding ceremony, at a hospital, and during a funeral procession.
The media reports state that the majority of victims in these incidents were women and children.
According to the reports, the first suicide attack took place around 3:00 PM local time on Saturday during a wedding ceremony; then there was another explosion at the Goza public hospital and a third explosion during a funeral procession.
Reuters reported that one of the suicide bombers was a woman.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this incident.
