Pakistan Announces Deportation of 15,000 Afghan Migrants Within Two Weeks
Bayan News – The Pakistani Ministry of Information has announced that in the past two weeks, 15,727 Afghan migrants have been deported from the country.
The ministry announced on Monday (July 15) that since the implementation of the deportation plan, more than 650,000 Afghan migrants have been repatriated to their country.
Pakistani media reported that from Wednesday, July 4 to Monday, July 15, 7,126 Afghan men, 4,926 women, and 3,675 children were deported from Pakistan.
According to the reports, these migrants were returned to Afghanistan in 510 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has recently launched the second phase of the mass deportation of Afghan migrants who do not have legal residency.
However, the federal cabinet of Pakistan has recently decided to extend the validity of the legal residence cards of those Afghan migrants whose cards have expired, for an additional one year.
