Turkmenistan Accepted a Taliban Envoy Diplomat
Bayan News – The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the government of Turkmenistan has accepted a diplomat envoy from this ministry.
Abdulqahar Balkhi, the spokesperson of this ministry, wrote on the X platform on Friday (August 5) that this diplomat was accepted in a formal ceremony by Rashid Meredov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced Haji Fazl Mohammad Saber as the Chargé d’Affaires of the Taliban’s embassy in Turkmenistan.
Balkhi wrote on the X platform: “Turkmenistan and Afghanistan have major projects on their agenda, so the development of diplomatic relations is an important step.”
Turkmenistan and the Taliban have close political and economic relations, and Ashgabat had handed over the Afghan embassy to the current government in Kabul since the Taliban’s recent takeover.
