The Israeli Army Declares Readiness to Attack Hezbollah in Lebanon

Bayan News – Following Hezbollah’s missile attack on the Majdal Shams area, Herzi Halevi, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army, announced on Sunday (July 28) that they are preparing to enter the next phase of the war on the northern front of Israel.

According to Al Arabiya, during his visit to the site of the missile strikes, Halevi said that his forces are currently increasing their readiness for the next stage of the battle in the north, and they know precisely where these missiles were fired from towards Majdal Shams.

Halevi emphasized that the missile that targeted Majdal Shams had a 53-kilogram warhead. The Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army added that his army knows how to carry out air strikes at very long distances from Israel. According to Halevi, all necessary measures are being taken to return all northern Israel residents in the Galilee and Golan who have been displaced since the escalation of tensions with Hezbollah at the start of the Gaza war.

Halevi’s position comes amid Tel Aviv’s emphasis on its intention to escalate confrontations on the Lebanese border, despite Hezbollah’s denial of responsibility for the missile attack on a football stadium in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights on Saturday, which killed 12 people.

Hezbollah Denies Responsibility for Missile Attack

While the Israeli Army announced that it is “preparing to respond to Hezbollah,” the group denied any responsibility for the attack on the village of Majdal Shams.

On the other hand, the office of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced that he intends to return from his visit to the United States, where he met with President Joe Biden earlier this week, as soon as possible.
