Thousands Protest Racism in Cities Across Britain
Bayan News – Following unrest by far-right extremists against immigrants and Muslims in the UK, thousands of people protested against racism in several cities across the country.
According to international media reports, protesters in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Hastings chanted slogans in support of immigrants.
Earlier last week, after three children were killed in a knife attack in Southport, northern England, a wave of violent protests against immigrants and Muslims swept through Britain.
The protests began after misinformation was published about the identity of the teenage attacker, who was claimed to be a Muslim asylum seeker.
According to reports, on Wednesday (August 7th), thousands took to the streets in British cities in the midst of a large security presence to protest the actions of far-right extremists against immigrants.
Protesters held placards with slogans such as “Fight Racism” and “Stop Far-Right Extremists”.
