Taliban Foreign Ministry: The mistreatment of Iranian security forces towards migrants is severely condemnable

Bayan News – Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Taliban Foreign Ministry, reacted to the violence of Iranian police against Afghan migrants by stating that this mistreatment is highly condemnable.

Balkhi stated on Friday (August 9) in a statement on the X platform, “Such mistreatments have raised deep concerns for the Afghan government, and malicious groups are trying to use such incidents to affect the positive and cordial relations between the two countries.”

The Taliban Foreign Ministry, while expressing gratitude for Iran’s hospitality, urged the Iranian authorities to address the recent ugly behaviors towards Afghans and not to allow violations of Afghan rights to lead to the resentment of the people in Afghanistan.

The Taliban is responding just days after the escalation of violence by the Iranian police against Afghan migrants.

Today, an Iranian Foreign Ministry official emphasized that xenophobia against migrants in the Islamic Republic is a foreign project.
