Uzbekistan Prime Minister Enters Kabul

Bayan News – Coinciding with the third anniversary of the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan, Abdullah Aripov, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, has entered Kabul.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce issued a statement on Saturday (August 27) stating that the purpose of the high-level visit from Uzbekistan was to participate in the opening of an exhibition of products from that country in Kabul and to participate in a bilateral meeting with the Taliban.

This exhibition is expected to be inaugurated this afternoon in the Chaman Gardens of the city of Kabul.

It is worth noting that Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan, also arrived in Kabul yesterday.

According to the information, Kudratov has discussed with the officials of this group the establishment of Taliban and Uzbek trade chambers in Kabul and Tashkent.

Uzbekistan does not recognize the Taliban, but over the past three years it has established good trade relations with the current government in Kabul.

Last year, the Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce also signed a “trade and transit cooperation document” with Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
