Canada has stopped its emergency assistance to support vulnerable Afghans

Bayan News – The “CBC” news agency reported yesterday (August 23) that Canada has halted its aid to Afghans who were awaiting visas, as per the Immigration Department of Canada.

According to this media report, Canada was covering the living expenses of Afghans waiting for visas in Pakistan.

The Immigration Department of Canada also stated that many Afghans waiting for visas in Pakistan are in the final stages of this process.

However, the department did not provide information about the exact number of these Afghans.

The program to assist vulnerable Afghans and facilitate their relocation to Canada was established after the collapse of the republic, and through this program, more than forty thousand people have been transferred from Afghanistan.
